Stubborn Dolores 110

September 26, 2026 | Trinidad, CO

The 110 mile course at the Rad Dirt Fest is the Stubborn Dolores! After leaving Trinidad, riders hit the gravel and pass through the stunning Trinidad Lake State Park. After a quick, 2 mile up and down, riders reach Burro Canyon Rd where they begin the big climb: ~1000′ of elevation gain over the course of ~10 miles, reaching the high point of the course at 7,221′. The return trip is a lighting-quick descent, ending back on Main Street in Trinidad.

There is a lot of mixed information when it comes to eating or drinking in the last hour before competition. Taking in some carbohydrate may help because it provides extra fuel that may be needed, especially during longer events. However, it can also result in so called rebound hypoglycemia or reactive hypoglycemia with symptoms of weakness, dizziness and nausea. So, it can have positive as well as negative effects? What should we do? This blog will give you the ins and outs.
